Amity University Haryana (AUH) has a good placement rate. The credit for the remarkably high placement rates displayed by AUH every year goes to Amity Resource Corporate Centre. They have a regular connection with the corporate world, also they prepare the students for the placement procedure and their careers, in the long run.
The institute was established with the view to promote professional, industry-oriented education in Haryana. The institute has a beautiful campus located near the Delhi-Jaipur highway just outside of Gurgaon New Delhi.

Overall, the placement record of the institute is quite good.
Civil engineering has lost its charm after the IT industry has taken over. The placement statistics of the branch have witnessed a drastic decline over the past few years. In 2022, the NIT Calicut BTech Civil Engineering recorded the following figures
Students Placed |
86 out of 98 |
Highest CTC |
INR 11.4 LPA |
Average CTC |
INR 7.36 LPA |
The primary reason for the poor placement scenario is the lack of industry in that specific location. Other South Indian NITs like Trichy, Surathkal, and Warangal offer better industry exposure and have more promising scenarios. NIT Calicut lacks transport facilities so most construction companies prefer visiting the nearest NIT rather than traveling all the way to Calicut. Another reason for the poor placement scenario here is the low performance of the senior batches of the branch.
However, the situation is gradually improving as the institute has been adopting measures to support students pursuing internships at IITs and other industries.
Although all the B Schools you mentioned are very good, the one I would personally recommend is FORE. Some points that favor my recommendation are
College |
Average Package |
Highest package |
GIM |
INR 12.1 LPA |
INR 30.2 LPA |
FORE |
INR 14.04 LPA |
INR 41 LPA |
KJ Somaiya |
INR 10.98 LPA |
INR 26.50 LPA |
SIBM Bangalore |
INR 10.60 LPA |
INR 32 LPA |
GIM: ?18,31,200
FORE: Rs.16,98,000
KJ Somaiya: ?9.59 Lakhs (one year)
SIBM: INR 3.53 L - 16.62 L(for 2-3 years)
FORE offers industry oriented certifications and International Immersion Program. So looking at the overall picture we can say all 4 colleges give each other tough competition but FORE takes the lead.
The Post Graduate Diploma in Industrial Engineering (PGDIE) program offered by the National Institute of Industrial Engineering (NITIE) in Mumbai is a highly regarded course in the industry. It equips students with the knowledge, skills, and practical experience necessary to excel in various roles in the industrial engineering sector.
Here are some aspects of the scope and future placement scenario after doing the PGDIE course at NITIE:
In conclusion, the PGDIE course at NITIE offers students a wide range of career opportunities in the industrial engineering sector. With the increasing demand for industrial engineers, graduates can expect attractive salary packages and opportunities for growth and advancement. With its strong industry connections, excellent faculty, and state-of-the-art infrastructure, NITIE is a great choice for students looking to build a successful career in industrial engineering.
Whether the choice is wise or not depends upon your personal interests. ECE is a better choice if electronics interests you. IT would prove better if you are into coding, technology, and computers, and wish to work in this field.
During 2022 B.Tech placements, the overall median package at NSUT Delhi stood at INR 16 LPA. The ECE branch has access to almost all the tech companies during NSUT Delhi placements. Whereas, IT students can’t sit for core companies. However, some top coding companies do not allow other branches except COE and IT to sit for their placements.
Like any other college, tech companies visit NSUT Delhi in greater numbers. But ECE students learn coding and are easily placed in brands like Facebook, Google, etc. The highest and average packages for IT are better than those for ECE. However, the ECE also has a greater number of students.
Right now, I would suggest you focus more on your interests than the placements. This is because, with an interest in your field, you will surely land a good job. Your dedication and commitment will play a greater role than your branch in deciding your future.
The placements of Metallurgy and Material Science at NIT Jamshedpur aren’t very high and most students have to opt for non-core companies instead. Only a handful of core companies visit offering mediocre packages.
Here is the exact placement scenario of this branch
Placement% |
100% |
Highest CTC |
INR 14 LPA |
Average CTC |
INR 9.42 LPA |
Most students remain unplaced till the end and go for Non-core placements eventually.
Through conversation with the alumni of this branch, I learned that the placements are at par with the other top NITs. A greater number of core companies visit the campus in comparison to other institutions.
Students who choose to pursue their higher studies get into well-known universities in India and abroad. For internships, however, you will have to try on your own.
These are the companies that offer placements to the students of Production Engineering at NIT Trichy:

Cognizant |
Infosys |
Amazon |

Morgan Stanley |
Amdocs |
Ernst & Young |
Oracle |
Bharat Forge |
|
Pepsi |
Capgemini |

During placements at NIT Trichy, the roles offered by companies vary greatly from technical profiles in core companies to app developers in IT companies to managerial positions like analysts and consultants.
NIT Trichy is a reputed government institution that offers decent placements and most branches see over 90-95% placement rate. Thus, it is a good choice to pursue your B.Tech in Production Engineering.
The Electrical branch offers good placement opportunities to its students. I will mention below the average salary offered during 2023 placement season.
During 2023 placements, B.Tech EE recorded a good performance. 89.66 % students were placed from this branch at an average package of INR 14.61 LPA.
Some companies that recruit electrical students from NIT Durgapur include- Coal India, L&T, Tata Metaliks, Verity solutions, Alstom, Mu sigma, etc.
Wipro, IBM, and INFOSYS are some of the mass recruiters that offer placements to electrical students.
As you can assess, the placement figures are quite good. So as far as job opportunities are concerned, you can definitely consider NIT Durgapur for your electrical degree.
Good college placements must meet the following requirements-
IIEST Shibpur performs well in all these parameters. It has a placement percentage between 55-60%. It delivers an average package of around 6 LPA, and the highest package close to 45 LPA.
A long list of companies visit the campus for recruitments. These include- Amazon, BHEL, Britannia, Bridge & Roof co., Blue Star, CCD, Coal India, Capgemini, CESC, DXCorr, DVC, Essar, Essar mining, Ericsson, Vedanta, TATA Steel, TATA Metaliks , Microsoft, Hindustan Motors, Unilever, Shapoorji Pallonji, LnT, HSBC, Hyundai, IOCL, ITC, Mahindra, Maruti, Mu sigma, PWC, Samsung , Siemens, TATA power, Hitachi, ZS Associates etc. All these are either core companies or top consultancy giants.
Across all colleges, placements and average packages are shrinking. Even the top colleges witness an average package between 8-11 LPA.
IIEST Shibpur isn’t a top engineering college, it does not receive immense funding, and the student crowd isn’t the best. Keeping all this in mind, its placements are quite good. In fact its placements are growing at a consistent rate.
According to the reviews online, both colleges are equally good and have decent placement records. But Christ University overall is much better than St. Joseph’s College of Commerce in Bangalore.
Categories | M.Com at St. Joseph’s College of Commerce | M.Com at Christ University |
Course Fee | INR 1.72 lakh | INR 1.65 lakh |
Placement Percentage | 70% | 80% |
Highest CTC | 13.5 LPA | 12 LPA |
Average CTC | 5-6 LPA | 4.5 - 5 LPA |
Recruiting Companies | JP Morgan, TCS, IBM, Dell, etc. | TCS, Cognizant, IBM, Mindtree, etc. |
Academics and placements are also better in Christ. They provide enough industrial exposure with seminars, industry visits, internships, etc. where the students are able to gain hands-in experience. It is also one of the most reputed colleges in India.
