Course Curriculum Overview :
The course curriculum is good and the teaching pedagogy is case-based. The faculty are very well experienced and most of them have completed their PhDs in various top colleges like IIMs and IITs. The number of faculty in each specialization is equally divided. The number of faculty currently in the college is around 43 and the intake of students is 410 per year. This makes the faculty: students ratio 1:10. The courses in the first year are usually considered core courses and are mandatory for all the students. In the second year, students can pick the electives of their choice and pursue a specialization. The exams are under the control of the PGPM office and they always conduct the exams as per the schedule, the evaluation and the exam papers are very strict.
Internships Opportunities :
Around 100+ companies visited the campus for Summer Internships. The average package for summer Internships is around 1.6 lakhs for the entire duration. As I still haven't completed my summer Internship, I cannot mention anything regarding the project and outcomes of the Internship. The roles offered are very diverse and cover most of the domains from Marketing, consulting, analytics, etc.
Placement Experience :
The placements at the college are pretty decent. The placements are handled by the placement team of the college and they make sure that the placements process goes on hassle-free. The placements for summers usually start in the month of august and go on until the entire batch gets placed. The final placements start around October. The hike policy is decided by the PGPM office and it is usually not disclosed. The bank in the college provides collateral-free loans to the students. A lot of banks are also willing to provide merit-based scholarships to students. Even the administration provides a certain amount as a scholarship for the batch toppers.
Campus Life :
Campus life is a mix of both stress and enjoyment. There is always some event going on on campus every week by one of the clubs and committees. There are around 12 clubs and 13 committees on campus. The annual fest of the college Dhruva is usually conducted in the last month of January. The college even conducts a leadership conclave and a business conclave named Daksha and Nishtha respectively. The college has one of the best libraries in the country. It has all the facilities, and various applications, software, and research journals. The campus has all the sports facilities including a swimming pool.
Hostel Facilities :
The hostel facilities are not up to the mark. The mess food is very poor. The hostel rooms are shared by 2 people, which was initially made for one person. So the rooms feel a little congested. The rooms have an AC, a Study table, a mirror, cup board, a whiteboard, an almirah, and a credenza. The washrooms have geysers and showers. The hostels have 24 x 7 electricity and water supply. All the rooms have Wi-Fi and LAN ports.
Interview Experience :
The selection process consists of GD, WAT, and PI. But due to the pandemic, GD and WAT weren't conducted for us. The Personal Interview will usually consist of a panel of 2 or 3 members. The questions in the interview will be testing various aspects of the candidate. The questions will be usually asked from the CV of the candidate, from the topics related to the candidate's undergraduate, Work Experience (if any), current affairs, hobbies and interests of the candidate, etc.
