The eligibility for a general student to get admission in IIM Trichy is 92+ percentile in CAT and 70+ percentile in CAT sectionals. I belong to General Category and I haven't attained any reservation benefits.
Course Curriculum Overview :
I chose this course as I wanted to upskill myself and scale my career much faster. There are 43 faculty in campus and 410 students intake. The faculty: student ratio is 1:10. The faculty are extremely qualified and all of them have completed their PhDs. Most of them have done their doctorate programs from IIMs and IITs. The teaching method is case-based and all the concepts will be explained using cases. The exams were very timely and the evaluation was very strict.
Internships Opportunities :
The summer internship placements start in August and end in February or march. More than 100 companies visit the campus and the roles offered are very diverse. The average stipend is around 80-90k per month. The roles are very diverse ranging from Marketing, Consulting, finance, analytics, etc. As I'm yet to complete my internship, I cannot mention anything about the project and the outcomes of the projects. And the companies and stipend cannot be disclosed due to the company policy.
Placement Experience :
The placements of the college are handled by Placement Team. The placement preparation team helps the people in getting prepared for the placements. The students are eligible for the placements from term 1 itself. The Summer Internship process starts in the month of august and goes on till February of march. The average package for the final placements is around 18 lakhs ctc. More than 100 companies visit the campus for placements and the names of the companies and the number of orders cannot be disclosed due to the placement rules. 100% of the students get placed during the placement process.
Loan/ Scholarship Provisions :
The fees structure is 18 lakhs for 2 years. The course fees includes tuition fees, exam fees, hostel and mess fees. The fees hike policy is decided by the pgpm office and it cannot be disclosed. The bank in the college provides financial assistance to the students by providing collateral free loans. I personally find the fees a little on the higher side to most of them from the economically weaker sections.
Campus Life :
Campus life is very Interesting. The annual fest Dhruva will be conducted at the end of January. The leadership conclave Daksha will be conducted in September and the business conclave Nishtha will be conducted at the end of December. The library consists of all the books, journals, research articles, software, and applications. The classrooms are designed based on Harvard classroom designs and equipped with all the modern amenities. The classrooms have AC and projectors. The sports facilities are very good. The campus even has a swimming pool and a jacuzzi and grounds and courts for all sports. The college consists of 12 clubs and 13 committees.
Hostel Facilities :
The hostels are poor and the mess food is poorer. The hostels are congested and shared by 2 people. The mess food is tasteless most of the days. The hostels rooms have bunk bed, ac, study table, mirror, cupboards, white board and an almirah. Each floor has a water cooler and a geyser. There are CC cameras in the ground floor and the hostels are very well secured.
Interview Experience :
Due to the pandemic, the GD and WAT weren't conducted for our batch. A personal interview was conducted. The personal interview majorly depends on how we answer the tell me about yourself. Most of the questions are based on the student's CV, current affairs, work experience, and hobbies and interests. I prepared for more than a month for the Interview, I referred to the current affairs from the past year and prepared everything related to my CV.
