Bachelor of Hotel Management and Catering Technology [BHMCT] From BIT Mesra, Ranchi

BIT Mesra BHMCT admission 2024 is expected to commence in April-May. The selection of the candidates for the BHMCT program is based on the candidates’ merit. Further, shortlisted candidates are called for final admission. 

BIT Mesra offers a 4-year duration BHMCT (Bachelor of Hotel Management and Catering Technology) at the UG level. Candidates must have secured a minimum of 50% of marks (45% for SC/ST) in class 12/Intermediate to apply for the BHMCT program. English as a major subject at 10+2 is compulsory. BIT Mesra charges an overall fee of INR 8.3 Lakhs with a total seat intake of 30.

BIT Mesra BHMCT Eligibility Criteria

BIT Mesra offers admission to its BHMCT program based on the candidates’ scores secured in class 12 examinations. Given below are the eligibility criteria for the BHMCT program:

• Candidates are required to pass the 10+2 exams/ Intermediate or equivalent qualifying exams with 50% of marks (45% for SC/ST) with English as a major subject. 
• Candidates who are appearing for their final exam can also apply. In this case, candidates will have to submit the mark sheet of class 12 in the BIT ERP portal after the declaration of the result. 
• Candidates with 75% or above in their last qualifying examinations will be offered direct admission to the BHMCT course.

BIT Mesra BHMCT Selection Criteria

The selection criteria for the BIT Mesra BHMCT is based on the marks obtained by the candidates in the class 12/ Intermediate/ equivalent qualifying examination. Further, the shortlisted candidates will be called for document verification and admission based on their merit.

• Register for the program and create a password for the application process
• Submit the required documents
• Pay the application fee of INR 1,500 (Gen/OBC/EWS) and INR 1,000 (SC/ST)
• Download the registration form for the future reference

Documents Required:

• Pass Certificate of class 10 for age-proof
• Mark sheet of class 10 and 12/ Intermediate or equivalent
• Caste certificate (if applicable)
• One passport-size photograph
• Photo Identification (Driving license, Passport, PAN Card, Voter ID, Aadhaar Card, College ID, and Employee Identification Card are acceptable)
• College leaving certificate and Migration certificate
