IIT Patna - Indian Institute of Technology - [IITP], Patna - Hostel Details

IIT Patna has five hostels out of which four are  Boys’ Hostels known as Halls of residence and located very close to the transit campus. There is a lush of greenery around the hostels.

List of IIT Patna Boys’ Hostels

1. Aryabhatta Hall – It is the first hostel of the college started in the year 2008. It is named after eminent mathematician-astronomer, Aryabhatta. The hostel has a capacity of accommodating 150 students.
2. Ashoka Hall – Ashoka hostel also has a capacity of accommodating 150 students.
3. Chanakya Hostel – This hostel is divided into two halls i.e. Chanakya Hall – I and Chanakya Hall – II.
4. NBH (New Boys Hostel)

IIT Patna Boys’ Hostels Facilities:

1. Wi-Fi and LAN connectivity
2. Health care facilities, all the students are covered under Vidyarthi Mediclaim Insurance Policy
3. Sports facilities including basketball court, a volleyball court, and badminton court
4. Indoor activities including Gymkhana, Indoor Badminton Court, music and dance hall and a yoga room
5. The students elect a student senate once every year in the month of February

Fee Structure of the hostels is as follows:-

1. Hostel Admission Fees Rs. 400/- (One Time)
2. Hostel Rent Rs. 500/- (Per Semester)
3. Hostel Development Fee Rs. 500/- (Per Semester)
4. Fan/Electricity/Water Charges Rs. 1,500/- (Per Semester)
5. Hall Caution Money Rs.1,000/- (One Time Refundable)
6. Mess Deposit Rs. 1,500/- (One Time Refundable)
7. Hall Mess Establishment Charges Rs. 1,000/- (One Time)
8. Mess Charges Rs. 12,000/- (Per Semester on Advance Basis)

IIT Patna has one Girls' Hostel situated located along with the IIT Patna guest house at about a kilometers distance from the transit campus.
