SPPU BCA Eligibility Criteria

In order to be eligible for BCA admission at SPPU, candidates must fulfill the below-mentioned eligibility criteria:- 

• Must have passed 10+2 examination in any of the specializations with English subject with a minimum of 45% of marks in aggregate; 
• Diploma of two years in Pharmacy Course of Board of Technical Education which is authorized from the government of Maharashtra or equivalent thereto;
• Diploma of three years (after 10th Board) from Board of Technical Education conducted by Government of Maharashtra.

SPPU BCA Admission Criteria 

Admissions to BCA at SPPU are offered on the basis of candidate performance or marks obtained in the qualifying examination. Candidates make sure that their educational qualification has been completed by the recognized board.

SPPU BCA Application Process

Eligible candidates for admissions to Pune University are required to fill the online application form by following steps:- 

• Visit the official website of the college for registration. Mention your valid email id for the further registration process. 
• Register yourself as a new user and you will receive an OTP on your email ID and mobile number for verification
• After verification, you can log in by putting userID and password. Also, you can review notifications of Post Graduate/Graduate/Integrated/Interdisciplinary Courses and Diploma & Certificate Courses on the OEE dashboard.
• Candidates are required to fill the application form by providing personal information, academic information and uploading documents/ photographs 
• After providing all of the information required in the application form click on Save and Proceed. 
• Click on the submit button and it will redirect you to the home page. After that, you are required to generate challan by selecting the respective bank for challan 
• Once the challan is received from the university, you can make payment by availing ‘Card’ facility option. 
• You can make the payment of the application fee by debit or credit card 
• Once the payment is done successfully, the bank will update your payment status automatically in working days
• Download and take a printout of the application form and send it to the university along with a copy of challan in the mentioned address - Concerned Department, Savitribai Phule Pune University, Ganesh Khind Road, Pune 411007.

SPPU BCA Course Details 

• The duration of the BCA program is 3 years shall be divided into six semesters which is based on a credit system consisting of 150 credit points.
• The first three semesters have six courses comprising of 24 credits and the remaining three semesters have seven courses comprised of 26 credits to each
• Theory courses consisting of 2-4 credits while practical courses consisting 4 credits to each
• For theory courses and practical courses, one credit is equivalent to one hour of direct teaching in a week and 1hr 50 minutes of laboratory work in a week respectively. 

Evaluation Assessment

• Each course consists of 4 credits that are evaluated out of 100 marks and students must secure at least 40 marks to get full credits of that course.
• Each course consists of 2 credits that are evaluated out of 50 marks and students must secure at least 20 marks to get full credits of that course
• Grade Point Average (GPA) is calculated on the basis of marks obtained in the respective subject that students have secured credits for that particular course 
• Each course comprises 100 marks that are to be evaluated with Continuous Assessment (CA) and University Evaluation (UE). Continuous Assessment (CA) comprising 30 marks while University Evaluation comprising 70 marks. In order to pass the examination successfully, students are required to score at least 40 marks out of 100. A minimum of 28 marks is required to score in the University Evaluation out of 70.
