The labs stole my heart i was always amazed of the phyics lab and chem lab and after ding some experiments i was very happy
Infrastructure is best as we have organised campus with food eateries and canteens .

Dislikes

We must take part in our activities, except academics, which take a lot of time during the day, which is so frustrating.
Placement opportunities are poor in core companies due to the scarcity of job openings in comparison to the number of students.

Placement Experience:

After 6th semester students become eligible for campus placements. All MNCs that come to college offer very nice packages. Last time highest package was somewhere around 2 crores+. And the average package was somewhere around 16-20lakhs. Almost all the students get placed.

The students become eligible for campus placements after the 7th semester . Companies like Google, Microsoft have visited in the past years and have offered roles in various domains such as SDE, Data, SWE .The highest package in domestic goes around 70LPA wheraes the average goes around 15-16 LPA .According to a recent data , it shows that that 87 percent of students are placed whereas others go for higher education . My plans are mostly to target a specific domain such as data and land up a job in a firm

Students are eligible for internships in the pre-final year and for placements in their final year. The placement rate at IIT Kharagpur is about 90%. About 200 companies visit every year making around 2200 offers for B.tech, M.tech and PhD students. The highest package till now is 2.2 Crores per annum and the average package is approx. ?15 lacs per annum I am willing to join a core company in Electrical Engineering and aim for a good company in the college placements.

Placement Experience:

Final-year students sit into placements from December 1, between their last 2 semesters. There are around 300+ companies who visit our college. Some others do not take part in placements but invite students to their offices, not a typical off-campus offer. I'd say almost everybody gets placed.

The placements at the college are very good better than other colleges. Students become eligible for placements from the 5th-6th semester and many world-famous companies visit the campus for placements. Almost all the students get placed by the end of 4th year. I do have not depth knowledge of placements but I share what is shared with us by IIT KHARAGPUR Students become eligible for internships in 3rd year when they are selected via cgpa and their interview. And students became eligible for placements in 4th year. Various companies come to campus for placement. In 2023 the highest package is 2.63 crore per annum. Approximately 75% of students get placed. After my degree, I am planning for my own start-up.
