The Beedie School of Business is a leading institute part of Simon Fraser University. It is the only institute in its region to have been awarded with EQUIS Quality award from the European Federation for Management Development (EFMD) and accredited by the Association to Advance Collegiate Schools of Business (AACSB). Both the recognitions place the Beedie School of Business to be among the top 1% of business schools worldwide. The school is the pioneer of establishing Executive MBA in Canada. Since then, the school has introduced various other programs such as Management of Technology MBA, the Master of Science in Finance, full-time and part-time MBA. Overall, about 16 UG and PG programs are offered at SFU Beedie.
MBA aspirants must note that the applications are invited for the fall semester and deadlines are often closed in the month of June. The school prefers previous work experience of two-three years, and applicants must have an undergraduate degree in a related field, such as business, economics, mathematics, or science. To get admissions with Beedie School of Business, apart from competitive scores in exams required to study in Canada, you will also need strong LORs, essays, and SOP to support your application. Once accepted, international students must be prepared to spend around 55,000 to 58,000 CAD a year. Beedie School of Business Campus & Accommodations
The Beedie School of Business campus is situated in Metro Vancouver, British Columbia- Canada’s Asia Pacific Gateway housing both national and international students. The college provides with various local, regional, national and international competitions that provide experiential learning to the budding business leaders at the undergraduate and graduate level
- The Beedie School also has 10 student organizations and various joint-partnership programs at the UG level.
- Beedie Endowment Asset Management (BEAM) founded in 2011, Beedie Urban Development Program (BUDP), and Management Consulting Career Preparation (MCCP) founded in 2015, partaking each summer are the Joint-Initiatives conducted with the support of Career Management Centre at the undergraduate level.
- AIESEC, Enactus, Finance Club, Human Resource Students’ Association (HRSA), Young Women in Business (YWiB) are some of the student organizations that provide experience and practical learning.
- The graduate-level Sponsored Organizations include- Graduate Business Student Association, Graduate Women’s Council, etc. The SIAS and GMCCP are the Joint Initiatives at Graduate Level.
Housing/Residence
There are numerous on-campus and off-campus housing facilities provided to both undergraduate and graduate, national and international study students with connectivity to the exciting life of the city. Graduate students are provided with an extravagant housing facility at the Charles Chang Innovation Centre at the Vancouver campus. However, the undergraduate students of Beedie School of Business (BBA) program are provided with a housing facility in the Living Learning Communities that helps them connect with the career management and advising programs
- The On-Campus facilities include- The Towers (undergraduate), Shell House(undergraduate), McTaggart-Cowan Hall(undergraduate), The Townhouses(undergraduate), CCIC (graduate) with both single(private) and co-ed bedroom options, academic lounges, and connectivity to the city. Single residence with meal costs around 10,800 CAD a year for an international student.
- The Off-Campus housing facilities have been provided in collaboration with places4students that provides all the rental details, accommodation, descriptive details of sublets for all the students.
- Special accommodation to students with disabilities is also provided at the Residence Life (RezLife) center by filling a documentation form during the time of admission. The Centre for Accessible Learning (CAL) is the governing body to assist the students.
Beedie School of Business Courses
The Beedie School of Business provides six programs at the undergraduate level and ten programs at the graduate level including Ph.D. programs, graduate diploma and graduate certification programs. The also college offers Executive Education and International Engagement programs. At the UG level, the college offers BBA majors, BBA Joint Major, Dual Degree with Mechatronics (BBA+BAsc.), Business Minor and Business Certificates.
Master of Science in Finance at the school is a full-time 16-month course based in Downtown Vancouver. The course provides an opportunity to be a part of the SIAS Fund to manage an investment plan and secure employment opportunities. Furthermore, MBA at Beedie is offered in various modes:

The admission requirements for SFU Beedie are-

- Quantitative and Analytical Skill Requirement- 60% in C or pre-calculus, IB HL/ SL Math- 3 min. score, GCE A/ AS/ O level Math- 3 min score,

- CGPA- 3.0 min. in Undergraduate Degree (83-86%)
- Full-Time work experience ranging from 2 years to 4 years min. depending on the choice of program.
- GMAT– 550 min. OR GRE score of 150 min. in each section

- TOEFL- 93+
- IELTS- 7+ min.
