"Integrated Plant and Animal Breeding" is to impart the basic theories, methods, procedures, and questions of breeding in the agricultural and forestry sciences in an interdisciplinary and research-oriented approach. The foremost goal of the Master's academic program is to enable graduates to pursue in-depth scientific work. Students become qualified for international specialist and management tasks or prepared for corresponding foreign-related research activities, thereby making them more competitive in international competition.
The master program "integrated Plant and Animal Breeding” (iPAB) combines plant and animal breeding. The general and subject-related goals of the course of study include, among other things, the acquisition of
- knowledge of animal and plant breeding, its methods and procedures;
- the ability to apply advanced academic/scientific-analytical laboratory methods or technical methods or qualitative and quantitative survey methodology and to interpret their results;
- the ability to process and demonstrate complex analytical and other data using agricultural sciences and bioinformatics
- the ability to use and evaluate scientific literature, statistics, and other documentation at a scientific level;
- the ability to present test results in writing, and in oral and graphic form;
- the ability to execute largely independent research or application-oriented projects and
- the ability to view and evaluate the effects of animal and plant breeding taking social, scientific, and ethical aspects into account.

The semester fees comprise administration fees, student body fees, and a Student union fee. The summer semester fee totals $476.54 for 2021. While the Winter semester fee totals $470.43 for 2021. So the yearly fee for attending this program is $946.97.
Eligibility & Entry Requirement
Academic Eligibility:
- The admission to the master program is granted on the grounds that a BSc of at least 3 years duration in Agriculture or other related degrees at an accredited institution in or outside Germany has been completed.
- Other related degrees must prove a minimum of 60 ECTS in agricultural science, plant sciences, animal sciences, forestry sciences, natural sciences, mathematics, statistics or computer sciences.
Indian Eligibility:
Indian students are eligible to apply if they meet the following eligibility criteria:
- Applicants whose first language is not English have to prove a good working knowledge of English. Their proficiency in English must be certified in an internationally recognized test.
- The language test certificate should be no more than two years old at the time of application.
- Exempted from the requirement to provide proof of language proficiency are students whose first language is English and students with at least two-year study or work experience in an English-speaking country within the last three years.
The minimum eligibility requirements, international students hailing from non-English speaking countries need to prove English proficiency through IELTS/TOEFL/any equivalent test to get admission to this program.
