JEE Main 2020 will be conducted on January 6 – 11, 2020. The exam will conducts in 2 sessions - Morning session from 9:30 AM to 12:30 PM and afternoon session from 2:30 PM to 5:30 PM. NTA will release the official answer key on its website ntajeemain.nic.in on January 20, 2020 (Tentative).

Previous Year Paper Analysis

  • According to experts, the overall difficulty level of paper was moderate. 
  • Physics was the toughest section of today’s exam.
  • In chemistry section, most of the questions were from NCERT books. Check Detailed Analysis
  • The difficulty level of mathematics section was moderate but the questions were too lengthy.

How to Download JEE Main 2020 Answer Key?

Candidates can check the official answer key of JEE Main by following the steps mentioned below:

  1. Visit the official website of JEE Main i.e. jeemain.nic.in
  2. Go to the link of JEE Main Answer Key
  3. Enter the Roll Number, Date of Birth and provided captcha.
  4. Click on the submit button and download the answer key.

How to Challenge JEE Main 2020 Answer Key?

  • Candidates can challenge the answer key upto January 25, 2020 (Tentative) by filling the prescribed application form.
  • They have to pay INR 1000 per question in order to challenge JEE Main Answer Key.
  • The fee will be refunded if NTA approves the challenge.
  • The challenges against the answer key will be referred to the exam board constituted by NTA.

Steps to Challenge Answer Key

If any candidate wants to challenge the answer key, they can apply for it before January 25, 2020 by following the steps given below.

  1. Login to the official website of JEE Main by using your Roll Number
  2. Navigate to answer key and OMR display on the website
  3. Fill up the application form to challenge the answer key
  4. Select the questions you want to challenge, make the payment through debit/credit card or e-challan.
  5. Submit the challenge and take a printout of the fee receipt for its future reference.

How to Calculate JEE Main Score by Answer Key?

Candidates have to use the answer key and check with their responses to know the number of correct answers and wrong ones they have given in the exam. The formula to calculate the JEE Main scores is as follows

Total marks obtained = Marks for correct answers (A) - Marks for wrong answers (B)
A = Number of correct answers x 4

B = Number of wrong answers x -1
