Placements
Both colleges are good choices, however, LNMIIT specializes in engineering courses making it a notch above the other. The college scores higher than Nirma on nearly all parameters. Placements at LNMIIT are far superior as compared to the latter. However, Nirma provides a similar campus at a much lower fee making its return on investment similar to LNMIIT. Making a choice between the two would depend on one's financial preferences.

For Chemical Engineering, St. Joseph Engineering College is average at best.
St. Joseph is a decent option for Chemical Engineering. But if you have better choices, go for them.
IIT BHU has a 4-year B.Tech program, a 2-year M.Tech program, and a Ph.D. program in Chemical Engineering. The placement in IIT BHU is quite decent, students get placed in Core and Non-core sectors. Out of 125 students, 104 students were placed from the chemical engineering department in the 2019 placement drive. The recruiting companies visiting IIT BHU have offered in the recent year an average salary package of 10 lakhs per annum and the highest being 58 lakhs per annum. The recruiting companies include Reliance Industries Ltd., Reliance Petroleum Limited., Gujarat Alkalies & Chemicals Ltd., Arofine Polymers Ltd., etc.
Many students get recruited in non-core sectors like IT, Consulting, Analysis, etc. as placement for the companies in these sectors are open to students from all branches. Recruiters at these sectors include Microsoft, Google, Goldman Sachs, Apple, Samsung, Synopsis, Uber, Flipkart, etc.
I would suggest you go with VJTI CS as it will be a better choice in the long run. Computer science is in demand with the number of job openings increasing every day in the country. VJTI’s computer science program is famous in the country and is known for its curriculum with a dedicated emphasis on practical learning. The college has a dedicated faculty pool and most of them are also engaged in research. VJTI's location also benefits it to a thriving industry ecosystem, providing students with ample opportunities for research, internships and industry collaborations.
Placement is another factor in which VJTI is better according to me. In 2024, A total of 401 BTech students were placed with the highest package secured by a BTech Computer Science student which stood at INR 57 LPA. The average package for the BTech Computer Science branch was INR 20 LPA.
IISc offers excellent research opportunities for Chemical Engineering. It is well-known for multidisciplinary research in the field. So, if you aspire to be in a research-oriented career, then IISc will be the right option.
But if you want a job with good pay, after completing the course, then ICT Mumbai is better. Around 70% of students get placed each from the branch, each year. According to the recent highlights of ICT Mumbai, the average CTC offered for Chemical Engineering is around INR 6-7 LPA.
