I am from a commerce background and I found this course is worth it for me. The faculty is very good. Very qualified teachers are present in the college. My law teacher and financial accounting teacher both graduated from SRCC, so there is no doubt about their qualification. Currently, I am in 1st semester and the exam will be moderated as expected.
Faculty members were also nice as they guided us very well. To be very honest I don't know the student ratio and for the exams, they are due to happen in December. Exams are dated from 18 December to 10 January.
The faculty of the commerce department in Kirori Mal College is really good and helpful. The curriculum of honors and program courses is quite similar. Talking about the teachers, they teach in a friendly and helpful way.
Bcom Hons is considered one of the most opted and finest disciplines. The faculty members were highly qualified and cooperative. The class size was around 60 students and 6 faculty members were assigned. At every 6 months semester exams were held and it was moderate or sometimes hard to pass the exam.
I chose this course because I see my future in commerce site.i want to become charted accountant.the faculty is very good abd there teaching method is also understanding.the teachers are well qualified and experienced.the exams are very easy to pass and done in every semester.
I chose this course because I'm a commerce student and I am seeing my career in this line only. I want to do an MBA after this. The faculty and student ratio of our college is probably good sometimes the faculties are not available due to events. All the faculties are qualified, some teachers are the best ones who give a lot of effort to the students. Exams are conducted on a semester basis.
The course which I opted for is Bachelor of Commerce (Honours). I have chosen this course because I have a good interest in the Commerce field. Bcom(Hons) is a good course for those who want to study further in the field of Commerce and has a lot of benefits as it has a good value in the field of Commerce. I have 50 students in my class and I have 1 teacher for each paper(subject). The faculty members in the college are so experienced and most of the faculty members in the commerce department hold a PhD. The exams are taken around every 5 months and if you study even 2 hours a day you are studying more than enough to score a decent score in exams.
I chose this course because of its good scope, I belong to the commerce stream, the faculty-student ratio is also good, there is no mug up of students, and doubts are heard. The staff and teaching are good and highly qualified, well knowledgeable, and a good way to interact with the students. I didn't have many problems in passing the exams, as my basics were clear and this didn't cause much burden at the time of the exams.
8 subjects and 3 years will be hectic. The teachers were Okay. The difficulty to gain marks in exams. Hons. course is been given importance over the past course. The faculty members' qualifications are good. The faculties are helpful and have good teaching methods. Students were busy with pursuing other courses also.
BCom Hons. is a good course. In college faculty-student ratio is high. The teachers are very good and understanding. Exams are held depending on teachers, usually 2 exams before semester exams. Marks of these exams matter in the overall grades.
Every college at Delhi University offers B.Com (Hons) without including math in your best four, despite the fact that math should be a subject in your 12th grade.
It is to take into account that to be admitted to an undergraduate course that requires a specific subject or a group of subjects, candidates must have passed the subject/each of the subjects individually.
It all depends on what you want to do. Here are a few things to think about:
Flexibility -You have a lot of time at DU. You can study Actuarial Science, CFA, CFP, Data Analyst, CIMA, ACCA, CS, CWA, and many other things. As a result, more career opportunities are available at DU. Christ is very strict about attendance, and you don't have time, so you must concentrate solely on the course.
Fees - College fees are approximately Rs 12000 per year, as opposed to Rs 1,000,000 in Christ.
Exposure - There are numerous societies at DU that can provide excellent exposure. Society is better in Christ, but imagine 4000 students competing for that opportunity. Furthermore, DU departmental and college fest are better experiences for students than Christ because students manage everything from arranging funds to organizing every event without much help from authorities. Furthermore, you can compete in competitions organized by various DU colleges ranging from debate, music, and dance to mock stock, treasure hunt, and beg, borrow, and steal. However, because you are required to give regular presentations in class and because of the diversity of students, Christ aids in the development of an average person's personality.
Placement- At 95%, you can get DCAC or Shaheed Bhagat College, which do not have a placement boost of more than 20-30%. However, in Christ, you will receive more than 70% placement ( depends upon course though ). The average salary given is not significantly different. (Approximately 3 to 4). However, some companies that offer better packages do come in Christ ( i.e above 5 lac ) Some sales and marketing firms unrelated to your course may be present in DU.
Curriculum - The curriculum at DU is outdated and lacks a practical aspect, whereas at Christ, they will provide you with numerous case studies and a rigorous syllabus. During your three-year tenure at Christ, you will be required to complete an internship and work in an NGO.
Emotional Benefit - Because Christ has a good ranking, a large crowd, a great environment, and a good infrastructure, you will feel more confident. It might not be the case in DU.
Faculty- Professors at DU are far more qualified than those at other colleges, and some are published authors as well. However, because they are a government institution, some do not teach at all and waste time. There are a few who teach exceptionally well. In Christ, even if they are not college or research paper qualified, almost all of them teach and even encourage students to come to them.
Alumni & Peer Group - Alumni of Christ are not strong enough to make a significant impact. North campus colleges in DU have excellent alumni. In terms of the south campus, it is the same as Christ for colleges such as SBSC, DCAC, Gargi, and so on. Peer group is also similar in terms of hard work and intelligence (though it may be higher in DU). However, the overall alumni of Delhi University are far more accomplished than Christ ever will be.
A BMS from SSCBS is better. It offers a good return on investment. The course fee is only INR 34,565. According to the highlights of SSCBS placements 2022, the average CTC for the institute is around INR 9.26 LPA. The highest CTC offered this year was INR 21.5 LPA.
The Delhi University tag also helps a lot in terms of placements. Another advantage of doing a BMS from SSCBS is that you will get to specialize in a particular domain.
