- B.Tech: Passed 12th examination with a minimum aggregate of 60% with Physics, Chemistry, and Maths as compulsory subjects or equivalent.

LPU M.Tech is a 2 year postgraduate program in seventeen disciplines. All the courses are available in full-time mode. Admission to the M.Tech program will be based on performance in the National Entrance and Scholarship Test, LPUNEST.

LPU Detailed Application Process 2023 testing
Lovely Professional University (LPU) invites applications in both online and offline modes. Follow the below-mentioned steps to fill out the application form for various courses of LPU:testing
Step 1: Register as a new user
- Visit the official website of LPU.
- Click on 'Apply Now' given on top of the home page.
- Register on the LPUADMIT (admission.lpu.in) with basic details such as name, email-id, mobile no., state, gender, and password). The email id used during registration will act as the username for the portal and the password needs to be set by the candidate while registering.
- Login to the LPUADMIT with an already created username/ password
Step 2: Application Process
- Fill out the application form and select the program of your choice.
- Upload the documents.
- Recent Photograph
- Matriculation Marksheet
- Qualifying exam Certificate/ Marksheet. If the applicant is claiming a scholarship on the basis of previous qualifications, he/ she is required to submit the previous qualifications exam certificate/mark sheet. In case the exam certificate/mark sheet is not available at the time of filling out the application form (recently appeared), it may be submitted at a later date.

LPUNEST is an online test that acts as a gateway to the program you are interested in. Admission to this program is done based on performance in LPUNEST. In addition, LPUNEST also acts as a Scholarship test and students can avail of huge scholarships based on performance on this test.
- The cost of the Application form and Soft copy of the LPUNEST Kit is INR 1000 (for Boys) and INR500 (for Girls).
- The cost of the Application form and Printed LPUNEST Kit is INR 1500 (for Boys) and INR 1000 (for Girls).
Step 4: Book the exam slot and appear for LPUNEST

Lovely Professional University, other than its regular classroom classes, also offers various courses at the undergraduate and postgraduate level via Lovely Professional University Distance Education (LPUDE). Can I get an admission in Lovely Professional University without the LPU NEST?

There are two ways to look at this. LPU NEST is a compulsory entrance exam to seek admission to any of the engineering, MBA or any other courses at LPU. You can skip to appear for LPU NEST if you have qualified any national level entrance exam for the course you are applying to. If you have a JEE Main score for BTech or CAT/CMAT etc for MBA you can get direct admission at LPU.
However, in my opinion there are some advantages of appearing for the LPU NEST. If you qualify for it, you will eligible for a scholarship. The admission process is also very simple as everything is uploaded to the portal when you apply for LPU NEST and you just have to get it verified once selected.
LPUNEST is mandatory for some of the courses and is the minimum eligibility criteria as well, that you must fulfil. But for some courses it is only a scholarship test. So it is beneficial to appear for it as it will improve your scholarship as well.

I have scored 58% in class 12. Will I be selected at LPU?

With your 58% score, you can get admission at LPU but in some of their programs. There are various undergraduate programs at LPU with different eligibility criteria. For most of the undergraduate programs, LPU requires candidates to have at least 60% marks in class 12. If you are targeting courses like BTech, your marks will not be sufficient.
However, there are certain courses like BBA, BCA, BCom and more where your percentage may be enough to get selected. Along with your percentage, you have to clear the LPUNEST exam to get selected. You should score well in it to make up for your class 12 marks.
I would recommend you to first choose the course you are interested in and then contact the admission cell to get more details regarding your percentage. With low marks and a good LPUNEST score, you may be able to get admission. LPUNEST will also make you eligible for the scholarship.
