NIT Trichy cutoff (Out): Check Round Wise Cutoffs

To get admitted to NIT Trichy in 2024 you will have to look at the category-wise cut-off given in the following table.

If you are a General category student, you will need to secure 75% in your 12th board to be part of the top 20th percentile and for SC/ST students it is 65%. You will be considered for admission if your rank is higher than the closing ranks. In 2023, the cutoff for JEE Main was 358-14406 rank.

93 percentile in JEE MAIN 2024 roughly corresponds to 83,601-85,000 rank. I am assuming that you are an open category candidate.

From this table, it is evident that unfortunately, you won’t be able to secure a seat at NIT Trichy with 93 percentile ( roughly 83,601-85,000 rank).

Since you haven’t mentioned a particular category, I am assuming that you are an unreserved candidate. NITs offer two kinds of seats through JoSAA counseling, one set of seats are reserved for home state candidates, while another set is for students from other states. Home State Quota applies to the candidates who complete their class 11th and 12th from the state of their desired NIT.

As evident from the table above, a rank >=36,000 can sadly not fetch you a seat in NIT Trichy. So 97 percentile will not get you a B.Tech admission at NIT Trichy.
