NIT Trichy MCA Course Highlights

The MCA program at NIT Trichy is a three-year, full-time course.
The MCA program has a total of 105 credits.
Students will have to undertake project work throughout the 6th semester.
Students must do internships during both their semester vacations.
The NIMCET examination will last two and a half hours and will consist of 120 multiple-choice questions, each with four options.
Students enrolled in the MCA program have access to the following lab facilities: the NIT Local Area Network (OCTAGON Computer Center); Dell Power Edge Server R1950; Plaorms such as Linux, Solaris-based SUN machines; HP DEC Alpha Ultra Sparc, IBM System, Storage DS3500 and IBM System 2U Server Rack; and DELL Optiplex 9020 MT PCs connected to NITT LAN.

NIT Trichy MCA Eligibility and Selection Criteria

Candidates must have 60% marks (6.5/10 CGPA) in a Bachelor’s degree of Full Time 3 years duration from a recognized University with Mathematics / Statistics / Business Mathematics as one of the subjects in any one semester/year (5% relaxation in case of SC/ ST candidates).
Candidates appearing for the qualifying examinations are also eligible to appear for the test. However, they will have to furnish proof of having passed the qualifying examination, with 60% marks, at the time of counselling/ admission.
Admission to the NITT MCA program is determined by the rank obtained in the NIMCET.
