AMU offers UG courses in Arts, Science, Commerce, Engineering, Law, Medicine, Etc. Admissions to AMU UG courses are based on the Admission/Departmental tests conducted by AMU. However, Admissions to several BA (Hons.), BSc.(Hons.), and BVoc. programs are done on the basis of CUET UG exam scores and counseling. For AMU UG medical courses NEET UG scores are considered during counseling. The basic eligibility criteria for admission is to complete 10+2 from a recognised board of education. AMU also offers Ph.D. in various disciplines at Doctorate level. Ph.D. admissions are generally conducted in the month of August every year. Admission is granted on the basis of Written Test followed by Presentation/ Interview. The duly-filled application form is required to be submitted to the Office of Controller of Examination, AMU on or before the last date of application.
Note: NET/ JRF/ GATE/ CSIR/ DBT/ ICAR qualified candidates will be exempted from the Entrance Test but they need to appear in The Presentation cum Interview round.

Ans. No, you don’t have to register yourself multiple times. Only Single Registration is sufficient for a candidate to apply for the multiple courses at AMU.

Ques. Will the gap in academics affect my admission to AMU?
Ans. No, your admission to AMU will not be affected if you have a gap in your academics. Candidates who want to seek admission with a gap have to submit an affidavit stating that the candidate was not involved in any criminal activity and state the reason for the gap.
Ques. Does AMU provide any hostel facility?
Ans. Yes, hostel facilities are provided to students at AMU on a first-come-first-serve basis. There are 19 Halls of Residence and one Non-Resident Students Centre (NRSC). 13 Halls of Residence for boys and 6 for Girls.
Ques. Does AMU charge any additional fee for professional courses?
Ans. All professional courses at AMU are self-financed. The admitted students are required to pay a self-finance fee of Rs. 20,000 per year in two installments: Rs. 10,000 at the time of completion of admission in next/second year (as applicable) and Rs. 10,000 in January after continuation of admission in next/second year.
