GATE CCMT 2023: MNIT Jaipur will release CCMT 2023 Notification tentatively in the month of May 2023. Any qualified candidate with a valid GATE score card (2021/2022/2023) can register for the CCMT 2023. Upon GATE CCMT registration, a seat is offered to the candidate through the counselling, on the basis of the candidate’s scores (in GATE 2023) and the cutoffs of the respective institute. GATE CCMT 2023 counselling process will be conducted in three rounds. Additionally, two special rounds will be conducted in case of vacant seats are available. A student participating in the counselling process has to submit INR 3000 as the registration fees of the regular rounds and an additional INR 3000 if he wishes to partake in the special rounds. What is GATE CCMT? GATE CCMT or Centralized Counseling for M.Tech/M.Arch/M.Plan/M.Des is a centralized counselling process conducted for admissions to NITs and IIEST Shibpur. There are 61 participating institutions in CCMT which include all NITs, IIEST Shibpur, and some IIITs & GFTIs. GATE CCMT 2023 will offer M.Tech admission at 13,414 seats. GATE CCMT 2023: Eligibility Criteria

Candidates with a valid GATE scorecard will be the only ones eligible for the counselling process. The eligibility criteria for registering for GATE CCMT 2023 are:

• The candidate must score a valid GATE Score (2021/2022/2023).
• Candidates must fulfill the minimum score requirement (minimum CGPA/ %) in their qualifying degrees from a recognized university. The minimum scores required are:

• If the result is yet to be announced for the above instance then the candidate has to produce valid proof of the document till the pre-final semester of that year at the reporting center during document verification.
• Percentage conversion to CGPA or vice versa is not allowed.
• Certain courses at some of the participating institutions might have special eligibility criteria. Candidates must make sure that they fulfill these requirements before choice filling.

GATE CCMT 2023: Documents Required

The candidate is required to produce the documents listed below at the time of reporting at the designated Reporting Center

1. Printout of the Registration form with the locked choices being mentioned.
2. Provisional Seat Allotment letter in printed form
3. Printed and self-attested copy of the candidate’s GATE scorecard
4. A Photo ID proof issued by Government of India
5. Original Birth certificate or Class X Board Certificate in original and a copy, as a proof of date of birth
6. Original and a copy of the Class XII Certificate and Marks Sheet.
7. Original Degree Certificate of the Graduation, if completed graduation
8. Original Marksheet of each semester of Graduation
9. Caste Certificate, if applied for reservation.
10. Certificate for Persons with Disabilities (PwD) for Disabled candidates
11. OBC-NCL/EWS certificates issued on or after April 1, 2020 only would be acceptable for document verification. In such a case any admission offered would be provisional, and subject to the submission of OBC-NCL/EWS certificate issued on or after April 1, 2023 displayed when reporting to the allotted institute.
12. Seat Acceptance fee transaction receipt
13. Photograph of the candidate.
14. Character/Conduct certificate from the last institution.
15. Original Transfer certificate from the last institution

Note: If the original certificates are not in English/Hindi then a translation of such certificates duly certified by the head of the graduating Institute will be acceptable instead..

GATE CCMT 2023: Counselling Fees

There are various fees that a candidate would incur during the counselling process. Any fees to the CCMT Authorities can be paid using Debit Card, Credit Card, Net Banking, UPI and e-challan.The various types of fees are detailed below:

GATE CCMT 2023: Counselling Process

GATE CCMT 2023 Counselling process consist of five stages:

Stage 1: CCMT Registration, Choice Filling, and Choice Locking

• • The complete process is entirely online.
  • Eligible candidates are required to register themselves on the CCMT Portal by paying the required fees (Given below)
  • Upon registrations the candidates are required to fill an application form as well as to select their choices of courses and institutes.

• The choices can be edited anytime till the closure of choice filling date

Stage 2: CCMT Seat Allotment & Seat Acceptance Fee Deposit

• Based on the choices selected and merit of the candidate, he/she/it would be allotted a seat, the result of which would be available online and would not be individually delivered to the candidate.
• A fee of INR 30,000 would have to be deposited by the candidate for seat acceptance.
• Upon accepting the seat, the candidate then can take a printout of his allotment letter for producing at the time of reporting and verification.

Stage 3: Online CCMT Document Uploading and Submit Willingness

• The candidate would then be required to upload his documents for the verification process. However, the option of document upload would be opened only after payment of the seat acceptance fee.

Candidates have certain options regarding their allotment which would be exercise upon reporting to the allotted Reporting Centers:

• Floating: if the candidate wishes to partake in the next counselling rounds for seat upgradation. they wish to be considered in the next round for all of their higher preferred choices.
• Sliding: if they want to be considered for a higher preferred choice within the allotted institute.
• Freezing: If the candidate is satisfied with his result and does not want to upgrade.

Stage 4: Online CCMT Document Verification

• Documents would be verified by an officer of the allotted institute online
• In case of any error, doubt and omissions a query would be conveyed to the candidate.
• The candidate would be required to submit supporting documents if needed.
• Any candidate failing to do so will be treated as Not-Reported. His allotment seat would be then cancelled. Such candidates would also be unable to participate in the next round of counselling.
• An Online Document Verification Certificate (ODVC) will be generated upon successful verification.

Stage 5: Online Admission in the Finally Allotted Institute

• After verification the candidate would be required to pay the remaining fees (after deduction of the Seat Acceptance Fees) to the institute.
• The candidates planning to register for special rounds need not to pay this fees.

Rules for GATE CCMT Seat Allotment

CCMT Seat allotment is based on the Merit list and availability of seats as per filled Choices according to the Government of India (GoI) Reservation norms.The merit list for seat allotments is released for each round of the counselling . There may be a case of a tie wherein 2 or more candidates score the same marks. The tie-breaker rules are as following :

1. Candidates having a GATE score of 2021 will be given preference over those having scorecard of 2023.
2. If the year of GATE score is the same, then preference will be given to that candidate with higher marks(out of 100)
3. If the tie still exists, preference would be given to the candidates All India Rank (AIR).
4. If the tie still exists, both the candidate’s Date of Birth will be considered. Older candidates will be given preference.
5. If the highly unlikely event of Date of Birth being the same, rank will be decided on the basis of Random number generation.

GATE CCMT 2023: Seat Matrix

Respective CCMT Participating Institutes release category-wise and course-wise Seat Matrix for different departments for the CCMT counselling process. GATE CCMT 2023: Cut off

GATE Cut off is the minimum marks required to qualify the exam and based on your cut off you will be able to apply for the admission process. The table below covers the round-wise previous years cutoff for GATE CCMT along with the opening and closing ranks of the previous year for a few top NITs. The Max and Min values indicate GATE Score.
