GATE 2020 CE Question Paper with Answer Key PDFs Exam Slot 2 Feb 9- Afternoon Session

GATE 2020 exam was held on February 9th 2020. The afternoon session timing was between 2:30 PM to 5:30 PM. Exam was conducted in online mode. Overall difficulty level of the exam was found to be moderate. Geotechnical Engineering carried the highest number of questions followed by Quantitative Aptitude topics. From engineering mechanics and CMM, no question was asked and least question was asked from Steel Structure Topic. 1-mark questions were found to be very easy. Overall, the slot 1 and 2 exam structure was almost the same. There were a total of 65 questions for 100 marks.

There were 41 multiple choice questions and 24 numerical answer questions on the test.

In comparison to the previous year's paper, no significant modifications were detected. Surprisingly, CMM has not asked any questions.

All of the 1 mark questions were simple. The paper's overall Difficulty Level was determined to be Medium.

There was no negative marking for NAT type questions whereas for MCQ question negative marking was applicable, 0.25 marks are deducted for each 1-mark wrong answer.
