GATE 2022 Mathematics (MA) Provisional Answer Key has been released by IIT Kharagpur. Candidates who had appeared in Biotechnology Paper can download GATE Question Paper along with the answer key through GOAPS portal on the official website- gate.iitkgp.ac.in using their registered credentials. How to Calculate Scores using GATE 2022 Mathematics (MA) Answer Key?
Candidates can use GATE 2022 Mathematics (MA) Answer Key to calculate their scores and predict a list of college that might them for admissions using Collegedunia’s exclusive GATE College Predictor 2022.
- Candidates need to calculate the total correct answers and allocate marks based on the correct options, and after that calculate the total marks.
- Candidates are supposed to tally total negative marks for all the incorrect options attempts. Note down that only MCQs will have negative marking, no marks will be deducted for NAT questions).
- The calculation will be:
- MCQ Marks: Total marks (1 mark) + Total marks (2 marks)
- Total marks (1 mark) = 1 x total correct attempts – 1/3 x total wrong attempts
- Total marks (2 marks) = 2 x number of correct attempts – 2/3 x number of wrong attempts

- Total marks = Total marks secured for correct response minus negative marks for incorrect answers.

GATE 2020 Mathematics (MA) Paper Analysis
- Overall Difficulty: The overall difficulty level of GATE 2020 MA question paper was not that much difficult. No unexpected questions were asked in the exam. The syllabus includes several chapters, all the questions have been from the specified syllabus. Most of the questions were from the M.Sc Mathematics third and fourth semester.
- Type of Questions: The majority of the questions are conceptual-based/ theory-based.
- Average Attempts by a Candidate: On average, candidates have solved 50-55 questions with ease.
- Difficult Topic: Period was the lengthy section.
- Easy Topic: Applied Mathematics is an easy-scoring topic, and the questions were concept-based.
- Syllabus Coverage: Questions from different topics like Basic Topology, Functional Analysis, Group Theory, Field Theory, Complex, etc. were asked.
- Expected Cutoff (As per Experts): As the question paper of GATE MA is easy, the cutoff for the exam can be more than 40.
