Graduate Aptitude Test in Engineering (GATE) is an online test taken at a national level in India. The main reason for conducting this test is to judge the learning skills of engineering and science UG candidates.

All the candidates (Computer Science Engineers) who want to get a job in Public Sector Undertakings (PSUs) give the GATE exam as scores obtained in this exam are considered while giving jobs to the selected candidates. Each PSU announces the recruitment criteria for CSE (Computer Science & Engineering) students who have appeared in the GATE, some PSUs consider GATE scores of the existing year only, while some consider GATE scores of last years as well.

Note: All the candidates appearing in the PSU recruitment drive must pen down that GATE scores for PSU recruitment are valid for three years only.

Full-time BE/B.Tech or equivalent degree in Computer Science Engineering.

• Qualification: BE/B.Tech in Computer Science Engineering. Candidates belonging to General and OBC (non-creamy layer) classes, must have obtained a minimum of 65% marks in qualifying degree examinations. Candidates belonging to SC/ST/PWD category can apply with 55% as well.
• Age Limit: Maximum age limit of the candidates must be 26 years as of 30th June 2021 (candidates belonging to general category). Relaxation in upper age limit by 3 years is offered to OBC (non-creamy layer while 5 years and 10 years age relaxation is given to SC/ST and PWD category candidates respectively.
• Application Fees: No application fees
• Salary: CTC would be almost INR 12.00 lakhs per annum including performance-related pay (PRP).

• Qualification: Candidates must have a Full-time regular Bachelor’s Degree in Computer Science Engineering (CSE). Minimum 60% marks is required (50% for SC/ST).
• Age Limit: Upper Age limit is 27 years as of 01.01.2021. Candidates born before 01.01.93 are not eligible to apply. Candidates having MCA degree can apply with maximum age limit 29 years as of 01.01.2021. Relaxation in the Upper Age limit will be provided as per Govt. Rules.
• Application Fees: Candidates belonging to General/OBC category have to pay INR 500 (non-refundable registration fee). There are no fees for SC / ST / PWD category and Departmental applicants.
• Salary: Will be notified later.

NLC India Limited (NLC) 

NLC India Limited (which was earlier referred to as Neyveli Lignite Corporation Limited) has also issued a notification informing the recruitment of Computer Science Engineering (CSE) students through GATE 2021. Selected candidates will be appointed as Graduate Executive Trainees.

Graduation degree in Computer Engineering with a minimum of 65%.

• Qualification: Graduation in Computer Science Engineering (CSE) (or) AMIE in Computer Science Engineering (CSE), with at least 60% marks for UR/OBC. SC/ST candidates can apply with 50% marks as well.
• Age limits: Must not have completed 30 years as of 01/12/2020.
• Application Fees: UR / OBC Candidates have to pay a non-refundable application fee worth INR 300.
• Salary: CTC varies from INR 9.05 Lakhs to 9.65 Lakhs per annum

• Qualification: Computer Science Engineering (CSE) students must obtain a minimum of 60% marks.
• Age limit: Maximum age limit is 30 years as of 30th June 2021 for general category applicants. OBC category candidates get age relaxation by 3 years, SC/ST get 5 years relaxation, while its 10 years for PWD category candidates.
