IHE offers admissions to the 3 year UG Courses to the students. The courses are also offered in honours mode. The most basic eligibility criteria for admission into these courses isto complete 10+2 class level board examination. Selection will be based on the CUET marks followed by e-counselling.

Institute of Home Economics UG Selection Process

Candidates seeking admission to the UG courses at Institute of Home Economics

must clear the Common University Entrance Test (CUET). The final selection will be done through e-counselling conducted by Delhi University on the basis of CUET scores. CUET is divided into the following three sections:

• Section 1 Languages: this further contains two sections, ‘A’ and ‘B’. Section ‘A’ contains 13 languages such as Bengali, English, Gujarati, Hindi, etc. Section ‘B’ contains 20 languages such as French, Spanish, German, Nepali, Persian, etc. For admission candidates must at least appear in one language. 
• Section 2 Domain Specific: There are 27 domain specific subjects in this section. Candidates are required to refer to the program specific eligibility criteria in order to select domain specific subjects. 
• Section 3 General Test: General test for any UG programme offered by the university where the general test is being used for admission. Candidates must refer to the program specific eligibility criteria for selecting general tests.

Institute of Home Economics UG Application Process

Candidates applying for UG courses in Institute of Home Economics can follow the steps mentioned below to register for the CUET Examinations: 

• Candidates must first visit the official CUET website - cuet.samarth.ac.in. 
• Upon opening the website candidates will find the ‘Register’ tab, they must click on it. 
• After reading and understanding the information provided, candidates must hit the ‘Proceed’ button. 
• After this, candidates will be directed to the application form. Candidates must fill in the required details carefully. 
• After filling the necessary details candidates will have to upload important documents such as signature, photograph, marksheet, etc. Candidates must upload all the required documents. 
• Candidates need to pay the application fee at the time of submitting the form or else the Online Application Form will not be considered.
• After submitting the fee, candidates print out the form and save a hard copy for future references.
• Candidates can login to their portals for any new updates, college cutoffs and so forth.

IHE provides admission to only one PG course M.Sc.. either on the basis of entrance examination conducted by the Delhi University or merit scores achieved in bachelor’s degree. The total number of the seats offered in M.Sc. course are 23 seats. Mentioned below is the list of course along with the specialisations:

• The most basic eligibility criteria for admission into M.Sc. course is to complete B.Sc.with at least 55% marks in the aggregate.
• The candidate must have studied three subjects from among the following subjects: Fundamentals of Fabric and Apparel Science/Fabric Science/ Indian Textile Heritage/Apparel Construction/Applied Texture Design/Dyeing and Printing/Design Concepts/Fashion Design Development/Fashion Studies.

Institute of Home Economics PG Selection Process

• The candidate can get admission to the M.Sc. course on the basis of merit scores but should not secure less than 60% marks in the aggregate in the bachelor’s degree examination. 
• The candidate can also get admission on the basis of entrance examination conducted by the Delhi University

The candidate must have completed 10+2 level board examination with at least 50% marks in the aggregate in M.Phil or equivalent course from Delhi University or equivalent recognised university.

The IHE provides admission to the Ph.D. course on the basis of merit scores achieved by the students in the Delhi University Ph.D. entrance examination.
