Course Details

DU BALLB (Hons.) admission 2024 is ongoing. Delhi University has announced spot admissions for BALLB (Hons). Candidates who had applied earlier but are not admitted on the date of declaration of the allocation round can apply for SPOT Admission from July 20 to July 21 on the official admission portal (law.uod.ac.in). BALLB (Hons) Spot Round 01 Allocation results will be released on July 23, 2024.

DU BALLB (Hons.) is a full-time 5-year Integrated LLB program. The course will be offered at the Faculty of Law, Delhi University, Kanad Bhawan, North Campus. The total seat intake for the BA LLB (Hons.) programat Delhi University is 60 each year. Candidates must have passed 10+2 or its equivalent with 45% or more marks in aggregate to be eligible for admission. The final selection will be done through the seat allotment process conducted by the university based on CLAT UG scores. Check DU Admission

DU BALLB (Hons.) Eligibility Criteria

In order to be eligible for admission to the BALLB (Hons) program at Delhi University, candidates must have passed 10+2 or its equivalent with 45% or more marks in aggregate for UR/ EWS/ OBC-NCL category and 40% marks or more in aggregate for SC/ ST/ PwBD category.

DU BALLB (Hons.) Admission Criteria

Admission to the BA LLB (Hons.) program at Delhi University is based on scores obtained in the Common Law Admission Test (CLAT) examination conducted by NLUs. The final selection will be done through the seat allotment process conducted by the department. Candidates who appeared for the CLAT examination must register on the official portal of the Faculty of Law for the seat allotment process. The seat allocation will be based on CLAT scores, availability of seats, category (UR/OBC/SC/ST/PWD), and other factors.

Candidates applying for admission to the BALLB (Hons.) admission at Delhi University can complete the registration process by following the steps mentioned below:

  • Step 1: Visit the official website of the Delhi University @law.uod.ac.in.
  • Step 2: Click on “New Registration” and enter the required details such as Name, Email ID, Date of Birth, Mobile No., etc.
  • Step 3: Click on “Register” and log in using your email address and password.
  • Step 4: Fill in the Academic Details such as Class 10th and Class 12 marks
  • Step 5: Upload the required documents.
  • Step 6: Preview the application form and check the filled details
  • Step 7: Submit the application form and pay the registration fee using Credit/Debit Card, Net Banking/ UPI.
  • Step 8: Provide the CLAT Examination Scores.

Ans. No, there is not any personal interview round for DU BALLB Hons. Candidates have to appear for the CLAT exam in order to be eligible for the 5 year integrated degree.

Ques. What are the documents required for reserved categories for DU BALLB Hons. admission?

Ans. Candidates applying for Delhi University BALLB (Hons.) degree under any reserved category must upload the certificates/ documents. To support the category claim, candidates must ensure that the certificate is issued by the Competent Issuing Authority.

Ques.Can I get admission fee waiver for DU BALLB (Hons.) program?

Ans. The following candidates applying for DU BALLB (Hons.) can get a fee waiver:

  1. Candidates whose combined parental income is Rs. 4 lakhs or less will receive 90% waiver of fees at the time of admission. Such candidates will be required to pay the examination fee from time to time. 
  2. Candidates whose combined parental income is more than Rs. 4 lakhs and less than 8 lakhs will receive a 50% waiver of fees at the time of admission. Such candidates will be required to pay the examination fee from time to time.

Ques. What are the documents required for BALLB (Hons.) fee waiver at Delhi University?

Ans. A Delhi University BALLB (Hons.) applicant has to submit the Income Tax Return of their parents for two consecutive previous financial years. Moreover, they shall also submit an EWS certificate issued by the prescribed authority

Ques. What if I forgot to upgrade/freeze my seat during DU BALLB (Hons.) seat allotment?

Ans. If a Delhi University BALLB (Hons.) admitted candidate neither opts for Upgrade nor Freeze, the admission will be retained. Moreover,the applicant will not be considered for upgradation in any subsequent round/s. 

Ques. Is there a withdrawal fee for the DU BALLB (Hons.) program?

Ans. If a candidate wishes to withdraw Delhi University BALLB (Hons.) admission, they can do so through the dashboard by selecting the 'Withdraw' option and paying a non-refundable withdrawal fee of Rs. 1000.

Ques.What is the fee waiver for blind students for the DU BALLB (Hons.) program?

Ans. Delhi University BALLB (Hons.) candidates in the PwBD category will receive a fee reduction of 75% of the total fee as compared to other students enrolled in a particular course of study at the University. Candidates must ensure that the PwBD certificate is in their name and provided by a recognised Government Hospital, and that it includes a fully attested photograph of themselves.

Ques. What are the documents required to apply for DU BALLB (Hons.)?

Ans. Delhi University BALLB (Hons.) candidates must submit copies of the following documents when applying (where applicable) and produce the same original certificates/documents during physically verification:

  1. Class X Certificate 
  2. Class XII Marksheet (The name of the candidate must match with the CLAT Admit Card and Result)
  3. CLAT Admit Card.
  4. CLAT Score Card.
  5. SC/ST/OBC-NCL/EWS Certificate (in the name of the candidate) - The name of candidate claiming reservation under SC/ST/OBC-NCL/EWS must match the name that appears on his/her corresponding School Board qualifying certificate and in CLAT. Similarly,his/her parents’ names must match in both sets of certificates.
  6. CW category applicants must upload the Educational Concession Certificate in the candidate's name.
  7. Orphans quota applicants will have to upload a certificate from a Govt. recognized Orphanage/Charitable Home or Death certificate of both the parents.
  8. University of Delhi Ward supernumerary quota applicants must upload a valid employment certificate of his/her parent/s issued by the due officials.
